Montenegrin professional boxer Milorad Žižić defeated a local fighter originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Leon Marić, in a ranking match in Cologne.
He won his 14th professional fight by knockout in the second round. Žižić returned to the ring after three years.
His last match was on January 26, 2022, when he defeated Georgian fighter Merab Gukasini for the WBU light heavyweight world title.
"I'm satisfied with how I came in and finished the match. I needed a comeback like that. We're continuing with preparations right away, because on August 30th in Berlin I'm boxing with Kim Poulsen from Denmark," said Žižić.
He announced that he will have a ten-round fight on November 11th in Accra, Ghana.
"If everything goes according to plan, we will go for one of the prestigious titles. I have great support from the people of Montenegro and my fellow citizens from Nikšić, and that means a lot to me. Boxing is something that is a part of me and I want to give a lot more to this sport, because I feel I can. Let's move on," said Žižić.
