Bojana Gojković will fight against Mexican Mejia Diana Paloma Perez at the start of the World Championship in Liverpool, while the other Montenegrin representative Tomislav-Bato Đinović is free in the first round, as decided by the draw at the prestigious "M&S Bank Arena", the popular "Liverpool Arena".
Bojana, in whose category up to 57 kilograms 29 boxers have registered, will enter the ring tomorrow (Friday). If she defeats the Mexican, the member of BK Budva will fight in the round of XNUMX against the more successful one from the fight between Lai-Karlila from New Zealand and Mamajonova from Uzbekistan.
As many as 60 boxers have registered in the 43 kg category, in which Đinović will compete. The Montenegrin fighter will fight Dutchman Al Čabtun in the round of XNUMX on Saturday.
The World Championship in Liverpool is the first under the auspices of the new international federation - World Boxing, which will also be historic, as for the first time the male and female boxing elite will compete together at the same event.
The championship in Liverpool will feature 554 boxers - 329 in the men's competition and 225 in the women's competition from 68 countries around the world, in a total of 20 categories - ten for men and ten for women.
With the Montenegrin boxers in Liverpool are national team coach Nikola Ružić and coach Momčilo Zlatičanin.
