Milorad - Mićko Žižić will "cross" gloves with Dane Kim Poulsen in front of his audience, at the Nikšić Sports Center, on September 27th.
"The upcoming match has a special meaning for me, after many years I am boxing in my city, in front of my fellow citizens and family. I have completed all the preparations in a high quality manner, so I am looking forward to the fight maximally motivated and ready. I would like to thank everyone who helped organize the match in any way, first of all the Municipality of Nikšić, sponsors, friends...", said Žižić at today's press conference.
Žižić and Poulsen will face off in the super middleweight category (up to 76 kilograms), and the match is scheduled for eight rounds. In Žižić's corner will be his old coach Joco Todorović.
"We scouted the opponent in detail. He is a fighter who has 35 professional wins, but who has flaws that we will try to exploit. We will not be disturbed by the stories of those who say that Mićko will end the match in his favor in the first round, we know what boxing is, there is no relaxation. Mićko has great energy, he has never been in better shape, and the task of the coach and the audience is that additional energy that can be crucial," Todorović emphasized.
Rade Vujačić, who has been with the popular Mićek since the beginning of his professional ordeal, addressed the media on behalf of Žižić's team.
"I've been with Mićek practically since day one. There's no need to waste words on what kind of fighter he is, boxing is his family tradition. I'm glad he gave this spectacle to his city, a spectacle because in the opening fights the audience will see great fighters, and after the match with Poulsen, new challenges await him," said Vujačić.
Todor Zečević from the Prašović boxing team also wished Žižić luck.
"I am honored to be part of this story, to be in a position to support Milorad Žižić on behalf of my team, who has a relationship with Dilan Prašović, whom I represent, that goes beyond sports and enters into friendly terms. I expect a great performance and I am convinced that Žižić will have something to show in front of his audience," said Zečević.
Prašović will box in the main opening bout, and the super-talented Montenegrin national team member, Tomislav Bato Đinović, as well as other fighters from Balkan boxing, will also box.
A professional boxing event is on the program of the September Days, emphasized the president of the Nikšić Tourist Organization Mitar Barać, and added:
"The Municipality of Nikšić and the Tourist Organization have recognized the importance of the upcoming match, which is much more than a sporting event. Older citizens remember the matches well both in the Sports Center hall and at the Small Sports Stadium, so we were pleased to support the great fighter, but also the great man Milorad Žižić, with the aim of bringing events of this type back to our city," said Barać.
Mijo Martinović, president of the Montenegrin Professional Boxing Association, was also present at the conference at the Koncept restaurant (City fitness).
