Katarina Vlahović wins silver at the Mediterranean Championship

Montenegrin karateka Katarina Vlahović won a silver medal at the Mediterranean Championships in Guadalajara - she won the medal in sand kata.

On her way to the final, she defeated Alba Diaz Martin from Spain, Isidora Borovčanin from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Danka Stojkova from North Macedonia, while in the final she was defeated by the host country's representative, Claudia Campos.

The Iskra member will also compete in the indoor kata competition on Sunday.

Vladimir Mijač will also compete for a medal in the same discipline, while Helena Backović (under 55), Nađa Boričić (under 61), Jovana Stojanović (under 68), Jovana Damjanović (over 68), Balša Vojinović (under 60), Nemanja Mikulić (under 84), Nikola Malović (under 84), Nemanja Jovović (over 84) and Vaso Abramović (over 84) will compete on the tatami.
