Is there a threat of discord in the Montenegrin sports federation, which has the best results and organization in the last four years?
The Extraordinary Electoral Assembly of the Karate Federation testifies to this.
The candidacies for the election of the President of the Assembly of Toko Raičević and Aleksandar Petrić were submitted within the stipulated deadline, while the candidacy of Milisav Jurišević arrived the day before the session, the Karate Federation of Montenegro announced.
"Out of a total of 50 delegates present with the right to vote, Milisav Jurišević received 25 votes, Toko Raičević 24 votes, while one delegate abstained.
Based on the results of the vote, Milisav Jurišević was elected President of the Assembly.
Some members of the Assembly pointed out the circumstances related to the late application of candidacy and the legitimacy of the two delegates present, i.e. the issue of compliance of the election procedure with applicable regulations.
As a reminder, the extraordinary session of the Assembly of the Karate Federation of Montenegro, scheduled for September 26, 2025, was postponed due to the irrevocable resignation of the previous President of the Assembly. According to the Statute of the Federation, only the President of the Assembly can chair the sessions. After the resignation submitted on September 22, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Karate Federation on September 24, 2025, in accordance with Articles 22 and 24 of the Statute of the Karate Federation, scheduled an extraordinary session of the Assembly of the Karate Federation for October 17, 2025 with one item on the agenda - Election of the President of the Assembly of the Karate Federation," the Federation's statement concludes.
