The traditional international boxing show "Podgorica Trophy" will be held on Saturday at the Venom Hall, and the best Montenegrin boxers will face off against boxers from Albania, the organizers of the event announced.
The show, organized by BK Podgorica and supported by the Secretariat for Sports of the Capital City, will be held for the 19th time, and in addition to amateur fights, two professional matches will also be organized.
The actors in these fights will be domestic professional fighters Edin Alković and Viktor Mihailović.
"The organizers' wish is to promote Montenegrin boxing and enable the local audience to watch some of our best boxers. We are pleased to see the return of trophy-winning Mirko Šarčević from Bijelo Polje, and the extra-talented Miloš Roganović from Nikšić and Nikola Ilić, bronze medalist at the European Schoolboys Championship, will also be boxing," the organizers said in a statement.
It is stated that the jury, which will choose the best boxer of the show, will include former winners of that award - Predrag Radošević (the first winner of the trophy), Boško Drašković, who has been declared the best three times, coach Nikola Ružić and Dragan Đuričković.
The start of Saturday's event at the Venom Hall is scheduled for 14 p.m., and admission is free.
