British boxer Anthony Joshua defeated Jake Paul in Miami last night by knockout in the sixth round.
Ahead of the match, Joshua announced that he would "take the soul" of the former YouTuber, and last night, in the fight, which took place at the "Kaseya Center", he defeated the American fighter with a powerful knockout, who throughout the entire match failed to match his technically and physically superior opponent.
Paul was immediately taken to the hospital after the fight, and according to American media reports, he suffered a fractured jaw.
Nakisa Bidarian, director of Most Valuable Promotions, confirmed that Paul was undergoing tests after he failed to appear at the post-fight press conference.
"We think his jaw is broken, but he's fine. He took a shower, drove himself to the hospital. A broken jaw is a very common injury in sports, especially in boxing or MMA. The recovery time is four to six weeks," Bidarijan said.
Paul soon spoke out, posting an X-ray on social media with the message:
"Double jaw fracture. Get me Canelo in 10 days."
After a convincing victory, Joshua took the opportunity to publicly challenge his compatriot Tyson Fury, whom he highlighted as his desired next opponent.
