British boxer Anthony Joshua was slightly injured in a car accident that occurred in Nigeria today and killed two people.
Joshua and the other injured people were taken to hospital, and local police said an investigation into the accident would be launched, the BBC reported. Local media reported that Joshua was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle that crashed into a stationary truck.
"Joshua was sitting behind the driver, and there was another person next to him. There was also a passenger in addition to the driver, which means there were four people in the Lexus that crashed. His security was in the vehicle behind them before the crash," said an eyewitness to the accident, as reported by the BBC.
Joshua is a former world heavyweight champion, and in his last fight he defeated Jake Paul in Miami.
