The match between world boxing champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, and Deontay Wilder is scheduled for April.
The WBC federation has designated the match as a voluntary title defense by Usyk, so the prestigious belt will be at stake, and it is not yet known whether he will box in Las Vegas or Los Angeles.
Usyk knocked out Briton Daniel Dubow in his last fight in July, while 40-year-old Wilder had his last match a month earlier, knocking out Tyrell Herndon in June last year.
He has won 44 times in his career, with four losses and a draw with Tyson Fury.
