International boxing referee Rade Vujović has received an invitation to referee at the Saudi Arabian National Championship in Riyadh, the Boxing Federation announced.

Vujović is one of five selected judges who will dispense justice at this extremely demanding competition, in a city known for organizing the world's biggest professional boxing matches.

The championship will feature 224 boxers, who will fight in 140 matches for the Saudi Arabian national champion belt.

Vujović was named the best referee at the recently held Montenegrin national championship.

"It is a great honor to receive an invitation to judge at such a major championship. I see it as recognition for my work so far, but also as an obligation to represent Montenegro and our Boxing Federation in the best possible way. I am grateful for the support of the Federation and my colleagues, because without joint work such results would not be possible," said Vujović.

The Boxing Federation announced that the participation of a Montenegrin judge in such a prestigious competition once again confirms that Montenegrin boxing, both in and out of the ring, has its place on the world stage.
