The senior boxing team of Montenegro is participating in joint preparations with the national teams of Serbia, Croatia and North Macedonia in Loznica, the Boxing Federation announced.
It is stated that this is the first sparring phase of preparations for the upcoming, extremely strong international tournament "Montenegro Cup", which will be held in Budva from March 13th to 22nd.
Five Montenegrin boxers are participating in the preparations at the new regional center of the Boxing Federation of Serbia, under the baton of the head coach of the national team, Sergej Kudravcev: Tomislav Đinović (up to 60 kilograms), Danilo Marković (up to 65), Miloš Roganović (up to 70), Mirko Šarčević (up to 80) and Radisav Lončar (up to 85).
It was announced that the focus of the work is on improving competitive form through intensive sparring with quality opponents from the region, as well as on technical and tactical improvement and physical preparation.
Head coach Sergey Kudravcev said that the sparring matches in Loznica are the first and very important phase of preparations for the "Montenegro Cup".
"We are working with strong and quality national teams, which is of great importance for improving their form. The guys are showing seriousness, discipline and great motivation. I expect that by the start of the tournament in Budva we will reach the desired level and be ready to meet all the challenges that await us," said Kudravcev.
The "Montenegro Cup" in Budva will once again gather a large number of quality boxers from Europe and beyond, and the Montenegrin national team will have the opportunity to show their progress and the results of their hard work in front of the home audience.
