The traditional international karate tournament, the Iskra Trophy, will be held on February 22nd in the hall of the university's Sports and Cultural Center, the organizers of the event announced.
The competition will be held in both competitive disciplines, individual and team, in men's and women's competitions, in age categories from beginners to juniors.
It has been announced that the eighth edition of the tournament will bring together more than 600 fighters from Montenegro and countries in the region.
"Year after year, the Iskra Trophy confirms its importance on the regional sports scene, bringing together talented competitors and promoting the true values of sport," the Iskra Karate Club announced.
It is stated that the tournament will be an opportunity to extend sincere congratulations to the brilliant generation of Montenegrin karatekas who shone brightly at the European Championships — Balša Vojinović, Vuk Vučinić and Anes Arifaj.
The start of Sunday's tournament in the hall of the university's Sports and Cultural Center is scheduled for nine hours and 30 minutes.
