The 16-month break left no trace on the great British boxer - Tyson Fury easily and unanimously won his match against Russian boxer Arslanbek Mahmudov at Tottenham Stadium in London (120:108, 120:108, 119:109).
The result says it all, the knockout fighter from Russia won the round by only one of the three judges! The third defeat for the 36-year-old Mahmudov was inevitable. Out of his 20 wins, he has won 19 by knockout, 13 of them in the first round. However, defense has always been Mahmudov's biggest problem.
The Gypsy King returned after losing in a rematch to the world heavyweight champion, Ukrainian Alexander Usik, after which he announced his retirement, but...
"The truth is that I came back for a reason – to restore boxing to its former glory. Boxing reached its maximum potential when Tyson Fury was actively fighting. And it wasn't me who said that, but the smartest artificial intelligence in the world – ChatGPT."
That's why the Gypsy King returned to training at the beginning of this year, but in a karate gym in Thailand, without any of the experts from his previous coaching staff.
"I didn't come back just because of ChatGPT, it was that car accident involving Anthony Joshua's team that got me going, there's no time to waste."
His next rival in the Battle of Britain will be Joshua, in Riyadh!
"We're going to the fight that all the fans are waiting for - the Battle of Britain. And I challenge you to another fight. Do you accept?" Fury asked the other trophy-winning British heavyweight, who was near the Tottenham Arena ring.
Joshua did not fail:
"Tyson, I beat you up when we were kids. I'll do it again, I'm the boss here and I'm your boss. You just work for me," Joshua replied.
