By winning the bronze medal at the European Junior Cup, Andrijana Šutović announced a successful year, the crowning achievement of which will be the European Junior Championship in early September in Podgorica.

Our young judoka was pleased with her medal in Kaunas, but she doesn't hide the fact that she always wants to be on the highest step of the podium.

"I am satisfied with the medal, it is always nice to win a medal at international competitions. Honestly, the ambition is always to win gold, but the continuity of good results at prestigious tournaments is very important," Andrijana told the website of the Judo Federation of Montenegro.

On her way to a medal in Lithuania, she recorded three wins and one narrow loss to the girl who later won gold.

"In the first round, I recorded a routine victory against a competitor from Ukraine (Karina Desitanjik), then I defeated a Romanian (Anamarija Sucia) whom I had beaten before, and then my only defeat came from an Estonian (Gajana Pogosjan), who later won gold. I was in control of that match, in the end it went to the "golden point" and was decided by one juko. I managed to maintain focus and concentration and finally celebrated in the bronze medal match against another Ukrainian, Lyudmila Vozniuk," emphasized judoka Straševine.

The result in Kaunas further motivates her ahead of the season.

"The continuation of strong training follows, this is a very important year for me. The Cup in Austria is planned, but a final decision has not been made yet. For me, the continuity of strong training is important so that I can go to competitions fully prepared," said Andrijana.

Andrijana Šutović is supported by the Judo Federation of Montenegro, which has recognized her potential for great results in the future.

"I have great support from the Judo Federation of Montenegro. They are with me to the fullest and are doing everything they can to provide me with the best possible conditions. This year alone, I attended three Olympic camps with the rest of our country's national team, in Mittelrühling, Austria, Nymburk, Czech Republic, and Tata, Hungary, in addition to camps in Montenegro. The fact that I have the wind at the Federation's back in the year when I have a big competition ahead of me means a lot to me," said Andrijana.

All focus this year is on the European Junior Championships. Andrijana will have the opportunity to compete for a high ranking in front of her fans.

"I will do everything I can to be fully prepared for the European Junior Championships in Podgorica. The goal is a medal, hopefully a gold one. I love working in front of my audience. That's where I'm additionally motivated to achieve the best possible result," Andrijana does not hide.

She has had a tough year and an injury that temporarily stopped her, but after recovering, she returned to the tatami even stronger.

"The injury is in the past. I'm glad I'm back on the tatami and that the results are following my hard work. I've also had some placements in senior cups, but now the focus is on preparing for the European Junior Championship," concluded Andrijana Šutović.
