Gojković and Roganović will box for the final of the Belgrade Winner

Montenegrin boxers had a successful second day of competition at the 63rd edition of the international tournament "Belgrade Winner" in Obrenovac, as they won two victories in the quarterfinals and thus secured at least two medals.

Bojana Gojković and Miloš Roganović secured a place in the semifinals, while unfortunately Tomislav Đinović ended his appearance at the prestigious tournament in the quarterfinals.

The most impressive was Bojana Gojković, who defeated Ukrainian Anhelina Nekrasova by unanimous decision in the 60 kg category. The Montenegrin representative dominated the entire match, controlling the rhythm of the fight and being more specific in all segments. The second round was especially impressive, in which Nekrasova was knocked down after a strong series of punches by Gojković.

The member of BK Budva will face a big challenge in the semifinals against the experienced and strong Italian Irma Testa, who was better than the Turkish Esmanur Lok in the quarterfinals.

Miloš Roganović also secured a place in the semifinals and a medal in the 70 kg category. The member of BK Nikšić reached the final without entering the ring, because his opponent, Italian Cristian Karol Harpula, did not appear at the match for reasons that are currently unknown, although he had previously been properly weighed in.

The Montenegrin national team player previously showed excellent form in the round of 16, when he defeated the Turk Cem Kaya by stoppage in the first round. Roganović now faces a duel in the semifinals against local boxer Filip Dzida from Serbia, who eliminated Romanian Daniel Grigori in the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals of the 60 kg category, Tomislav-Bato Đinović was stopped. After a very open and dynamic fight against the strong Armenian Erik Arstanijan, the judges awarded the victory to his rival. Đinović gave his maximum, a great fight was fought with many exchanges, but the nuances still decided in favor of the Armenian boxer. Previously, the member of BK Zlatičanin defeated Filip Žikić from Serbia by stoppage in the round of 16.

Montenegrin national team coach Nikola Ružić did not hide his satisfaction after another successful day for the Montenegrin team.

"I am very satisfied with the performance. Bojana boxed a top-notch match, disciplined and dominant from the first to the last second, which is confirmed by the knockdown in the second round. Miloš previously showed his worth with a convincing victory against a Turkish boxer, and now he has the opportunity to fight for the final. I feel sorry for Tomislav, who provided excellent resistance to a very high-quality opponent. We showed that we have quality and character, and the two medals we secured are a great incentive to continue the tournament," said Ružić.
