Miloš in the fight for gold, Bojani bronze in the heavier category

Montenegrin national team member Miloš Roganović advanced to the finals of the prestigious 63rd edition of the international tournament "Belgrade Winner", which brought together top fighters from as many as 23 countries in Obrenovac.

The member of BK Nikšić reached the gold medal match in the up to 70 kg category with impressive performances, starting from the round of 16 and continuing into tonight's semi-final, in which he achieved a great victory over the very high-quality domestic fighter Filip Džida, winner of the "Adriatic Pearl" tournament.

In one of the best fights of the semi-final program, Roganović won by unanimous decision. It was a high-paced match, full of exchanges and top-notch moves, and Roganović showed exceptional composure, technique and fighting spirit throughout all three rounds. The audience in the hall was on its feet throughout the match, applauding the moves of the two boxers. The Montenegrin national team player controlled the end of the match and deservedly won the final.

In the fight for gold, Roganović faces an extremely difficult challenge against Kazakhstani national team member Nurbek Murslali, another quality boxer who reached the final with dominant boxing.

Bojana Gojković was also close to reaching the finals, but she was defeated by Italian boxing legend Irma Testa in the 60kg category after a very uncertain and high-quality fight. The nuances decided who would make it to the finals, and the Montenegrin boxer put up an excellent fight against one of the world's best competitors. Testa has an impressive career behind her – she is a two-time European champion, world champion and Olympic bronze medalist.

Despite Bojana Gojković's defeat, the coach of the Montenegrin national team, Nikola Ružić, did not hide his satisfaction with the performances of his boxers.

"I am very pleased with the performances of both Miloš and Bojana. Miloš showed top quality, character and maturity against an extremely strong opponent and fully deserved to advance to the final. Bojana also boxed an excellent match against a world-class boxer. It is important to point out that Bojana competed in the 60 kg category, which is not her natural category. In the future, she will compete exclusively in the 57 kg category, where we expect her best performances," said coach Nikola Ružić.
