After the first annulled suspension by the Sports Inspectorate of the European karate referee with the highest title, Toko Raičević, and while awaiting a decision from the relevant state body on his invalidity and the second attempt to, as he states, "discipline" him in the Karate Federation, the Disciplinary Commission has also made a decision on the third suspension of the former Montenegrin national team member, now the coach of KK Vukovi and the owner of a fifth-dane black belt.
With a new decision, the Disciplinary Committee suspended Raičević for a year on July 9, along with a fine of 500 euros.
"Immediately after the holidays, I will file a complaint with the Sports Inspectorate, but also with the Montenegrin Ombudsman due to the persecution. The first suspension due to my stated position that the same person in the position of president of both the European (EKF) and the World Karate Federation (WKF), which he has held for three decades, is a stumbling block for ours in international and Olympic sport, "fell" before the state authorities. The second was a two-month delayed reaction about my suspension for addressing international karate associations, allegedly without the knowledge and permission of the parent Federation, which is not true. And if it was, I had the right to do so as an international judge with functions in them. Now they even dared to drastically punish me for private communication in our private Viber group "judges in KSCG", explained Raičević.
His club, competitors and he are suffering damage due to, as he says, the new management's lack of understanding and lack of knowledge of the regulations, Statute and work in KSCG.
"I was punished without a personal statement, due to communication that was not conducted either on the official website of the federation or in the office of the Federation. If judge Miodrag Radunović felt threatened by my remark that I believed he wanted to get closer to the new administration for personal gain, the only possibility to prove my guilt was a private lawsuit to state authorities. The paradox in all of this is that the president of the Disciplinary Commission, Ljubica Damjanović, also works in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, so it is incomprehensible that the laws of this country are violated by the very person who is supposed to defend them! It is inappropriate for a job in a sport that I have been involved in for 37 years to be done on the orders of structures outside of karate," Raičević said decisively.
Raičević is not the only one suspended by the new administration, just...
"For a physical confrontation with a colleague, and in a repeated incident, the coach from "their side", Dejan Ivanovic, was fined only 300 euros, without a temporary suspension. I am not aware of whether the procedure for the false accreditation with which Ivanovic attended the competition in La Coruña was also initiated. There have been other such cases of mild penalties, for insulting officials from other countries who did not express the position of our KSCG. In any case, the problems are piling up and I am being retaliated against because I was a candidate for the president of the KSCG Assembly and I do not hesitate to express my disagreement with numerous decisions. Even after half a year of the new management and president, fitness trainer Igor Ognjenovic, we do not have a competition for the election of the coach. But we had an incomparably worse result at the senior European Championship compared to our predecessor, and the national team players have drastically weaker conditions," concluded Raičević and added that after the decisions of the inspection bodies, they will seek compensation for damages through regular civil court proceedings.
