The England football team got a coach - as expected, Gareth Southgate signed a four-year contract today, according to which he will earn two million pounds annually.
"I'm very proud, but I know it's one thing to get a job and another to do it successfully," Southgate said.
He led England for four matches as a temporary coach.
He succeeded Sam Allardyce, who was sacked after just 67 days and a corruption scandal, which revealed he was willing to do illegal things in player transfers, for a commission.
As a player, Southgate played 57 times for the England national team, and before his job as a selector, he was on the bench of the young national team.
He previously coached Middlesbrough for three years.
