Two extremely interesting junior tournaments were held last Sunday in Ulcinj, and the best result was achieved by Mladost footballers, who triumphed in the competition of players born in 2000, and won second place in the competition of players born in 2002 and younger.
The "Play for peace" tournament was organized by the Russian sports marketing agency in cooperation with the Football Association of Montenegro.
Seven teams participated in both categories, and each team played according to the system.
The Mladost team won five matches in the 16-year-old competition, and only one was a draw.
In its series, Lokomotiv from Moscow, Mornar, Otrant (all 2:0), Vlaznija from Shkodër (1:0) and Budućnost (3:1) fell, while against the team from Podgorica only the Russian second division team Telshtikov Ivanovo (0: 0).
The best player of the tournament was declared Petar Pavlićević (Mladost), who delighted with his games and reminded of some world football stars.
"The tournament was great, and Petar played really phenomenally, all six matches from the first to the last minute. When he was recognized as the best, the players of all teams rewarded him with a big applause, which speaks volumes for the impression he left, especially against Lokomotiv from Moscow. He is a real master, a dribbler, I think he has a great future," said Milan Radulović, coach of the first-placed Mladost.
In the competition of players born in 2002 and younger, Lokomotiva was first, Mladost won second, and Buducnost third.
