Football club Elće has filed a lawsuit against La Liga and is seeking compensation of 60 million euros for being kicked out of Primera, "As" reports.
This newspaper states that Elće is seeking compensation for the loss of TV rights and the departure of players, and the sum includes the "economic impact on the region".
Elće was kicked out for financial reasons, that is, because he did not pay taxes in the amount of 3,6 million euros, despite the fact that he finished the previous season in 13th place in the table.
His place in Primera was taken by Eibar.
The club states that they submitted all documentation on time and that they fulfilled all obligations, but La Liga denies this.
The decision to file a lawsuit was made by the previous management of the club, and the new one just continued that process, says As.
Elće, after 18 rounds played, is tenth in the Segunda table.
