Stuttgart will try to overcome the crisis of results in the Bundesliga by changing the position of sports director.
"Schwabe" announced that the role of the first operative for sports matters will be performed by Tomas Hitzlšperger, a former player of this club.
"I will give everything for Stuttgart to ensure survival this year, but at the same time we have to think about the future of the club," said Hitzlsperger.
The former German national team player, who was champion with Stuttgart in 2007, succeeded Mihael Reške as sports director.
Stuttgart is currently in the play-off zone for survival, after 21 rounds it has only 15 points...
