Historic night for Frosinone, Atalanta better than Sampdoria

A point against Juventus on Wednesday was only the introduction - Frosinone beat Empoli on the wings of a draw in Turin and made history.

The small club from the vicinity of Rome triumphed with 2:0 and it is their first ever victory in Serie A.

This is Frosinone's debut appearance in the elite, and Federico Dionizi and Danilo Sodimo led them to three points against the Tuscans with goals in the 58th and 71st minutes.

Frosinone thus escaped from last place and now has four points. He won them all in the last two rounds...

Atalanta beat Sampdoria 2:1 and recorded the 5th game in a row without defeat.
