Southgate candidate for Manchester United bench

The coach of England, Gareth Southgate, is a candidate for the manager of Manchester United, writes Sky.

United did not respond to the allegations of the British media.

The "Red Devils" fired Jose Mourinho in December and brought in - on loan - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his place. Under Solskjaer's command, Manchester recorded five victories in all competitions.

Southgate led England to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia this summer, and in October he extended his contract with "Proud Albion" until 2022.
