Real and Monaco have had a verbal agreement for Radamel Falcao to come to Madrid on a one-year loan, but that deal could spoil Manchester City.
As reported by the English and French media, the "citizens" offered 40 million euros for the Colombian, which they would pay in two installments.
The first of the 10 million would be immediately credited to the account of the "princes" and that would be the sum for the loan until the end of this season, and the other 30 million would be paid in June for the purchase of Falka's contract.
The representatives of the English champion met in Monaco with the leaders of the local club I Jorge Mendes, Falka's manager.
The agreement is close, so it remains to be seen whether it will be realized by midnight, when the football market closes.
In the event that Falcao ends up at the "Ittihad", there is a great possibility that Alvaro Negredo, who is not in Manuel Pellegrini's plans, will go to Real.
"The Tiger" came to France last summer from Atletico Madrid for 60 million euros.
In January, he suffered a serious knee injury, due to which he missed the rest of the season.
He played 20 games for the "princes" and scored 11 goals.
