Football club Nürnberg fired coach Gertjan Verbek today due to poor results.
Verbeek is the second coach that Nürnberg fired this season, since he replaced Michael Weissinger on the bench in October of last year.
Nürnberg is fighting for survival in the Bundesliga, having lost eight of its last nine games and with three rounds to go is in the penultimate place with 26 points.
Nürnberg is one point ahead of last-place Braunschweig and five behind Stuttgart in 15th place, which is outside the relegation zone.
The last two clubs on the table will be relegated from the league, and the team that takes the 16th place will play a play-off with the third-placed team from Cvajta.
