The national teams of Ireland and England will meet in June next year in a friendly match, which will
to be the first football match between the two countries in Dublin after 20 years.
Ireland and England previously played in 1995, and the match then lasted just 28 minutes, as fans rioted in the Dublin stadium.
The home fans then pulled out wooden chairs and threw them at the opposing fans, and then clashed with the police.
More than 20 people then sought medical help, while more than 40 were arrested.
The political relations between the two countries improved in the meantime, so the two national teams played last year at the Wembley Stadium in London.
FA chief executive Adrian Bevington said it was extremely important for England to play in Dublin again.
