Betis found themselves in the lobby of the Spanish Second League, the popular Segunda, after an incredible defeat to Malaga in the last game of the 31st round of the Primera.
"Cactuses", in fact, were leading until seven minutes before the end, when the furious finish of the big rival from Andalusia followed. Haunmi equalized at 83:1 in the 1rd minute, and Dardera in the 87th after a quick counter-attack brought Malaga a complete turnaround.
That wasn't the end of the excitement either, as the hosts got a penalty in the 90th minute to equalize, but Ruben Castro's miss showed that this is definitely not Betis' year.
This was the 19th defeat of Betis this season, in 31 games played. The team from Sevilla, which is nine points away from the safety zone, is now only kept in the Primera by theory.
