On the occasion of the incident that happened at the match between the youth teams of Lovcen and Petrovac, after which two players of the visiting team ended up in the Emergency Center, the management of Lovcen addressed the public yesterday with a statement that says:
"In the Youth League match Lovćen - Petrovac, in the 87th minute, after Petrovac's equalizing goal, there was a conflict in which several players from both teams participated. After that, the parents of the players of both clubs were on the field, but they - as it was reported in part of the media - did not participate in the incidents, but tried to separate the opposing sides".
"Within a few moments, security also responded, removing the parents from the field, and then calming the passions among the football players. The Lovćen football club hired the Police Department - Cetinje Police Station, whose representatives escorted the Petrovac football players safely from the town".
"Whoever attended yesterday's meeting knows that the truth cannot be different from the sequence of events mentioned above. Because, except for the conflict between the football players of the two teams, everything else that was stated in today's report by part of the print media simply did not happen".
"Lovćen regrets the unpleasant scenes that were seen on the auxiliary field at Obilića poljana, especially since it is the first such incident in a series of recent seasons. As a responsible club, after the conflict on the field, we promptly took everything to make the players of Petrovac feel safe and to leave Cetinje safely".
"What is worrisome is the fact that persons who were not at the mentioned match, including the author of the article in a daily newspaper, make incorrect statements about the events themselves. Why is this happening? Has the Lovćen Football Club, with its organizational and result-oriented rise, become a 'thorn in the side'?"
"One thing is certain. Lovćen did everything to justify his role as a good host and organizer of the match. We condemn the violent behavior of the players of both teams, all the more because they are football players who will already be in the senior teams on the first league pitches tomorrow. Finally, we are particularly sorry that the match with our sports friends from the Petrovac Youth Football Club ended in this way".
