Abidal continues to train tomorrow after being hospitalized

Monaco football player Eric Abidal will continue to train normally tomorrow, as he was hospitalized as a precaution due to a viral infection.

Monaco announced today that Abidal has been in hospital since Sunday.

It said the 34-year-old defender was hospitalized "due to his medical history" and "as a precaution against a serious, career-ending illness."

Abidal underwent a liver transplant in April 2012, which is why he did not play in the European Championship that year and because of which he took a year off.

At the end of the 2012/13 season. he returned to play and made a few appearances for Barcelona before moving to Monaco.
