FIFA knows about the game, the "black stars" are not in progress

Yesterday, the Football Association of Ghana denied the information that was published on the official website of the Football Association of Montenegro on Friday, that it was agreed to play a friendly match between the two national teams on March 5 in Podgorica.

On the official Fifa website, however, the duel between the "brave falcons" and the "black stars" is included in the calendar.

"The communications department of our Football Association was not informed that a friendly match with Montenegro was scheduled, as it says on their website. Similarly, the Football Association of Colombia announced last Sunday that they will play a friendly match with us".

"The moment we reach an agreement with an association for a friendly match that is acceptable to the Ghana Football Association, we will make it public. Even on the official website of the Football Association of Ghana, there is no information about the friendly match with Montenegro on March 5 at the stadium under Gorica.

Apart from the earlier announcement that the "black stars" will play the next friendly match in March in Europe, all the latest news is related to the Cup of African Nations, in which footballers who play in domestic clubs participate this year.

The Secretary General of the Football Association of Montenegro, Momir Đurđevac, was happy with the news from Ghana, stressing that this friendly match was scheduled according to the established procedure by which all friendly matches are scheduled.

"After long negotiations mediated by the agency for the sale of TV rights "Sport Five", on Friday at 16.15:XNUMX we received a fax with the official memorandum of the Ghana Football Association and the signature of an authorized person of their association, which confirms the playing of the friendly match".

"It is a regular procedure by which we schedule all friendly matches and as far as we are concerned, there is nothing in dispute. They even informed us from "Sport Five" that today (Friday) they will send a contract that regulates our obligations related to that match," he said. Đurđevac, pointing out that the official Fifa website clearly states that the match is scheduled.

Đurđevac, however, notes that nothing would surprise him.

"Obviously, we can't be sure until they show up in Podgorica. Maybe they've changed their minds."

The friendly match with Ghana should be the first test of the Montenegrin national team in 2014, and the first test of the "black stars" before the upcoming World Cup in Brazil. Ghana is in a group with Germany, Portugal and the United States of America.
