At the end of the most massive competition, there is no current champion and leader in the table, Sutjeska, who was sensationally eliminated from Jezera, as well as the current winner of the Cup, Budućnosti, who, due to a gross administrative error, was kicked out even before the round of XNUMX rematch with Dečić.
The derby of the first matches of the quarter-finals is played at Lugovi, where the teams that were recently deprived of three points in the championship, because of the cadet teams - Mogren and Grbalj.
As both of them have fallen behind in the championship, the Cup is definitely a shorter way for them to reach Europe.
"For various reasons, we fell behind in the championship, but we still have high goals on both fronts. We want to fight for the trophy in the Cup, we have a difficult obstacle in front of us, the Grblj team. We beat them twice in the championship and it will be difficult to beat them again , but we believe in it," says Goran Vujović, Mogren forward.
"It will be difficult, we lost to Mogren both times this season, maybe it's time to repay them. Our goal is to remain undefeated and score at least a goal, so that we can play for a pass on our field in the second leg," said Igor Radusinović. captain Grblj.
The current finalist and second-placed team in the championship, Čelik, is visiting Mladost at Stari aerodrome.
The people of Nikšić are the favorites to pass, but Mladost is also looking for a chance in the Cup, especially after the desperate results in the championship (division of the last place in the table).
"We got a difficult opponent, the most difficult possible, but we are not without chances. I believe that at least in the Cup we can make up for the bad editions in the championship", said Ivan Knežević, the striker of Mladost.
In Čelik, for the third year in a row, they have the same goal in the Cup - to find themselves in the final.
"We will not be fooled by the bad results of Mladost, the Cup is a specific competition in which surprises happen regularly. The quality is on our side, but we have to justify the role of favorites on the field," said Slavoljub Bubanja, coach of Čelika.
After the interruption of the winning streak in the championship, Petrovac welcomes Dečić under Mali brdo.
"At first glance, everyone will say that we got an easy opponent in the quarter-finals. But, believe me, that's not the case. In the championship, they made us suffer both times, and it would be better to play the second leg at home. However, we have to show class already in the first match. The most important thing is not to concede a goal," said Petrovac midfielder Bojan Golubović.
"A draw with a scored goal would give us hope that we can create a new miracle in the second leg," said Pjeter Ljuljđuraj, defender of Tuzana.
Lovćen and Zeta make perhaps the most uncertain pair of the quarterfinals.
"I would sign immediately if we win 1:0, but I would like to score another goal. 2:0 would be the ideal result before the second leg," emphasizes Lovcen midfielder Dejan Bogdanović.
Zeta recently lost to Cetinje 4:1 in the championship, so Mladen Vukićević's players are hoping for a different epilogue today.
"We want to reach Europe through the Cup, but it won't be easy. A goal away from home against Lovcen would help us before the second leg," says Miljan Vlaisavljević, striker of Zeta.
