Radonjić: Teammates will lead Dinamo

Srđan Radonjić returns to Sutjeska after nine years.

And maybe he will play in the Champions League qualifiers, against Dinamo, if his new teammates do the job in the rematch with Sherif on Tuesday near Bistrica.

"Bigger surprises happen in football, so I sincerely hope that Sutjeska will finish the job and advance to the third round. It won't be easy, but in the first match the players stood on the field brilliantly, they didn't allow the opponent to outplay them, so I believe it will be like that in two days. Matches with Dinamo would be a spectacle, great games for Sutjeska, but also for Montenegrin football in general," says Radonjić, who will join his new teammates tomorrow, but has no right to play in the return match against Šerif from Tiraspol.

If Nikšić's European summer is extended for matches with Dinamo, Sutjeska will get a big boost in the third round of Champions League qualification.

Otherwise, the great striker would remain with the "blue-whites" for the domestic championship.

Radonjić spent the last two years in Budućnost, with one half-season in Kuwait's Kazma. Under Gorica, he won the championship and the Cup, but leaves somewhat surprised...

"The situation in Buducnosti is really strange, since the end of last season I was waiting for someone to contact me, to talk... Since that didn't happen, I considered some options for abroad, and when Sutjeska appeared, I didn't think much, I think that's the right option. The club stabilized last season, the title came as a reward, and I believe that we will all continue together in the same style".

Radonjić played for Sutjeska from 2002 to 2004 in the former SCG league.

He has special feelings for the club near Bistrica.

"Sutjeska is the club where I made the biggest stepping stone in my career. From Sutjeska, I played for the young national team of Serbia and Montenegro, then for the Olympic national team, and finally I went to Partizan. Those were really great days, I hope that not only to evoke memories, but again to help the club to do the right things," concludes Radonjić.

The former Montenegrin national team member will cheer on his new teammates from the stands on Tuesday against Sherif from Tiraspol.
