Monaco does not stand still. Just a few days after the arrival of Joao Moutinho and James Rodríguez from Porto, the return to the elite ranks of France should receive two big reinforcements tomorrow.
As reported by "France Presse" and "Marca", Radamel Falcao, striker of Atletico Madrid, and Victor Valdes, goalkeeper of Barcelona, arrived in Monte Carlo tonight.
The two will undergo medical examinations tomorrow, after which they will sign the contract with the team from Monte Carlo.
"Jorgandzije" will receive 60 million in compensation, and Barcelona 10 million because Valdes has a contract for another year.
That's how Dmitri Rybolovlev, the owner of Monaco, started building a powerful team, and by the end of the transfer window between 60 and 70 million euros will be spent on reinforcements.
Falcao scored 32 goals in 36 matches for Atlético this season and is most deserving of securing third place in Primera, i.e. direct placement in the Champions League and King's Cup.
The most serious candidate to succeed Falcao in Madrid is the striker of Rayo Vallecano, the 20-year-old Brazilian Leo Baptistao.
As for the replacement for Valdes, the situation is completely uncertain. Mark-Andre ter Stegen (Borussia Monchengladbach), Pepe Reina (Liverpool), Federico Marchetti (Lazio) and Vicente Guita (Valencia) are mentioned, as well as Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanović.
