The head coach of the cadet national team of Montenegro, Boris Ljutica, has announced the list of players he has selected for the international memorial tournament "Nereo Roko", which is traditionally played on the tri-border area of Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
The "Nereo Roko" Memorial begins on May 1, 2013, where the "falcons" will compete in Group B, together with the respective selections of Canada, Croatia and Norway. On the first day of the tournament, Boris Ljutic's team will have Norway as their opponent. A day later, our cadets will compete against their peers from Croatia, while on May 3, they will have Canada as their opponent.
Italy, the United States, Slovenia and Chile will compete in Group A, while Israel, Japan, Mexico and Kazakhstan will compete in Group C.
Placement in the semi-finals will be won by the first-placed teams from all three groups, as well as the best second-placed team. The semi-final matches are scheduled for May 04, while the final is scheduled for a day later.
The coach Ljutica points out that the primary goal at the "Nereo Roko" tournament is to get the team to play.
"By participating in this tournament, we continue our work on preparing the team for the upcoming qualifications for going to the European Cadet Championship. In the first phase of the competition, we will have the opportunity to check the current form of the candidates for the Cadet selection in duels with strong opponents in three days. Our main goal is to get the team together, but we will do our best to score as many points as possible in order to qualify for the end of the tournament, said coach Ljutica.
The gathering of the cadet national team is scheduled for Sunday, April 28, at the FSCG Training Camp at 18 p.m.
