The Russian Premier League teams Krasnodar and Krila Sovetov are suspected of fixing the match between themselves, which was won by the visiting team 3:0 on Saturday.
According to the Russian media, Krasnodar, currently the eighth team in the championship, released an opponent who is fighting for survival.
The leaders of Krasnodar, whose member is the Montenegrin national team player Nikola Drinčić (he is not playing at the moment due to injury), strongly denied the media's writing, and the same was done by the members of the management of Krilo Sovjetov.
"The accusations of fixing are ridiculous and insulting. There is no question of letting the game go," said wing owner Denis Maslov and added:
"What can we offer the owner of Krasnodar that he doesn't already have. Well, he's a billionaire."
The leadership of the Russian Football Federation (RFPL) should announce the whole case today.
Krila Sovetov is currently in 14th place in the Russian championship, four points above the relegation zone.
