Egyptian Al Ahly and Mexican Monterrey football players qualified for the semi-finals of the Club World Cup. Al Ahli defeated Japanese Hiroshima 2:1 in the quarter-final match in Toyota today.
Monterrey qualified for the semi-finals with a 3:1 win against South Korean Ulsan Hyundai. Champions of Europe and South America, Chelsea and Corinthians, secured direct qualification to the semi-finals of the World Cup.
Al Ahli will play against Corinthians in the semi-finals on Wednesday, while Monterrey's rival, a day later, will be Chelsea. The final duel is scheduled for December 16 in Yokohama. Last year, the title of world club champion was won by Barcelona.
