The German Football Association (DFB) today suspended Hannover player Šabolč Husti for one match for his sending off in the match against Werder Bremen last weekend.
Referee Deniz Ajtekin showed Huštija two yellow cards in that match, the first for taking off his shirt after scoring a goal, and the second for climbing the fence of the stands to celebrate with the fans.
"Aytekin's decision is in accordance with the rules. We don't want too much time to be spent celebrating scored goals," the DFB said in a statement.
Hannover beat Werder 3:2 in the third round of the Bundesliga with a goal from Husti in the 92nd minute of the game.
