The Montenegrin footballers returned from Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately after the match on Monday, and yesterday they trained at the FSCG camp.
Preparations for the match with Slovenia follow - the Dragons visit Gorica on Saturday at 20.15:XNUMX p.m.
Fatos Bećiraj, who wore the captain's armband in Zenica, reflected on the match at Bila polje, where Montenegro drew 0:0 thanks to the great goalkeeper Danijelo Petković.
"It's not easy without 11 footballers, many of whom are standard, but the boys who ran onto the field deserved a chance. In the end, we achieved a good result, even though we did little in attack. This team has potential and the most important thing is that we will be ready for September. I would trade all these results from friendly matches for victories when the League of Nations starts," says Bećiraj.
For four and a half years, Montenegro has not won a friendly match - the next and last opportunity is on Saturday against Slovenia.
"It is a national team that is similar to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which always goes for victory. Although we will be weakened again, we will try to end the cycle of control matches with a triumph, in order to further improve our mood before September".
Boris Kopitović will remember the match in Zenica for the rest of his career.
"This is the realization of my dreams, a debut for the national team, that's what every player can only wish for when he starts playing football. I don't think we disappointed, it was maybe a little turbulent at the beginning, but later we adapted, we special debutants and it was getting better and better," said the Čukaricki defender.
