If one of the rich European clubs was hoping to hire Marek Hamsik, a member of Napoli, during the summer, everything fell apart from today.
The Slovak signed a new contract, according to which he will stay in Naples until June 2016, it was announced on the official website of the Italian club.
The first man of this season's Champions League participant, Aurelio De Laurentiis, put his signature on the contract during the flight from Rome to Milan, so he was immediately deposited at the league's headquarters.
"We already reached an agreement with Marek on the terms of the new contract in October last year, now we have formalized everything. Hamsik knows perfectly well that our project has a basis and a great perspective. Marek is one of the strongest players in Europe," De Laurentiis told the club's website. .
The Slovakian representative was also satisfied with his stay in Napoli.
"My life in Naples is great, as well as playing for this club. I am happy to continue to contribute to this project and I am proud that we continue to work together," Hamsik said.
