Hamsik leaves Napoli: Maybe it's time to part ways

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik said today that "maybe it's time" for him to leave the Italian club.

"We believed we could finally win the Scudetto this year. I'm disappointed that we missed out on the title again. I'm sorry because our fans deserve it... I've spent my time here always giving my best. Maybe now it's time to part ways I would like to try something new," Hamsik told Poland's Pravda.

Today, the Italian media also reported the statement of Hamšik's father, who stated that his son is considering offers from China.

"Their interest is great, but the negotiations are not easy. Marek has been rejecting any idea of ​​leaving Napoli for three years. He was focused on winning the Scudetto, but he did not succeed," Richard Hamsik told Slovakian media.

He pointed out that, however, the problem is that the main transfer window in China is only in the winter, so the question is when the transfer could be realized.

Marek Hamšik has been in Napoli since 2007 when he arrived from Brescia. Before that, he played for Slovan Bratislava.
