The young and occasional senior representative of Montenegro, Saša Balić, has signed a four-year contract with Ukrainian Krivbas, Ukrainian media reported.
Since 2009, Balić has worn the jersey of Croatian Inter from Zaprešić with great success. In two seasons, he played 47 games and scored three goals, and he also got the opportunity to debut for the senior national team of Montenegro, after appearing in the youth and youth national teams.
Balić played three games under previous coach Zlatko Kranjčar, and was a starter against Wales in Cardiff in the qualifiers. He is a standard member of the young re-presentation team (played nine games), and he did not receive an invitation from coach Duško Vlaisavljević for a friendly match in Slovakia only because he traveled to Ukraine to find a new club.
It turned out to be Krivbas, the currently fifth-placed team in the Ukrainian championship. Krivbas is from the city of Krivi rog, in central Ukraine, with the same number of inhabitants as the whole of Montenegro - about 650 thousand.
