The German football club Wolfsburg announced today that it will not extend the contract with Aleksandar Hleb, because the Belarusian representative has problems with injuries.
Hleb will leave the club by December 31.
"It is a very unfortunate circumstance. I would have advocated for Hleb to sign a contract, but his injuries keep recurring," said Wolfsburg coach Felix Magat.
Hleb played only four games, and came on as a substitute in three.
"Of course it's difficult for me, because I had great plans here in Germany," said Hleb, who is trying to heal a muscle injury in Munich.
