Two goals by Tej for the victory of Partizan against Zvezda

The players of Partizan defeated Crvena Zvezda at home with 2:0 in the first match of the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup.

Both goals for the black and whites were scored by Prins Tejgo with a header in the fourth and 49th minutes.

Crvena Zvezda, which is the defending champion in the Serbian Cup, was the first to threaten in the first minute of the match.

Evandro had a chance after Ognjen Koroman's cross, but his volley was inaccurate.

The first goal of the match was scored by Tejgo after a powerful shot by Milan Smiljanić from 35 meters. The Ghana representative headed the ball and tricked Zvezda goalkeeper Saša Stamenković.

The visiting player protested to the referee Milan Karadžić, considering that the striker from Ghana was in an offside position, however, the goal was recognized.

The beginning of the match was marked by tension between the players and several verbal duels, but also a high tempo of the game with several excellent opportunities to score.

In the 25th minute, Kadu had a chance to equalize when Aleksandar Jevtić beat him with a fifth. However, the Brazilian shot poorly and allowed Vladimir Stojković to stand out with a good intervention.

In the continuation of that action, Partizan captain Mladen Krstajić hesitated to kick the ball, which he managed to steal from Borh, but the Zvezda striker's shot was blocked.

Ognjen Koroman and again Borha could have equalized for the guests in the first 45 minutes of the game, but both of them shot wide of the goal from good positions.

On the opposite side, the black and whites had a chance to increase the advantage after a nice action by Saša Ilić and Ivica Iliev, but Duško Tošić managed to eliminate the danger for Zvezda's goal.

Just a few moments after the start of the second half, Ivica Iliev was able to double Partizan's lead.

The striker of the black and white team shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Stamenković made an excellent save.

The goalkeeper of Zvezda only managed to remove the new joy of the local players and fans with that defense, since three minutes later Tejgo shook the net again.

The winter reinforcement of the black and whites, after Stefan Babović's cross, beat Zvezda's goalkeeper with a header for 2:0. Tej's keeper Uroš Ćosić was not decisive enough in the aerial duel.

This was followed by a torchlight by Partizan fans, which caused a three-minute stoppage in the game due to the smoke.

In the rest of the match, Partizan controlled the game, and new excitement was seen only at the end of the game.

First, Tejgo masterfully played the heel past Adia, who shot past Stamenković's goal.

Colombian Borha had an opportunity for the guests, who failed to realize even the third chance in the match. In the 90th minute, he found himself alone in the home team's penalty area, however, he shot over the goal.

The best chance for Partizan's third goal was missed by Saša Ilić in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

The match at the Partizan stadium began with a minute's silence in honor of the deceased coach Žarko Soldo and the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
