The fifth goal of the season by occasional Montenegrin national team player Filip Raičević helped Livorno achieve a perhaps crucial victory in the battle for survival in the Italian Serie B.
The team from the Lirurian Sea surprised Verona at "Bentegodi" - they won with 3:2 and came close to the zone of direct salvation by three points.
Raičević scored in the 42nd minute to make it 0:2, the home team reduced the lead until halftime, but could not get a point when the visitors scored a third goal at the beginning of the second half.
The direct relegation zone is, however, even closer - just one point, because Fođa also won in the 34th round.
There are two more rounds until the end of the season, if Livorno stays in their current position, they will play a barrage for survival.
Raičević, former striker of Vicenza, came to Livorno last year from Bari.
Two seasons ago, he was about to sign a contract with Napoli, but everything backfired at the last moment.
The 25-year-old attacker played three matches for the national team of Montenegro.
