After many years, the youngsters of Budućnost achieved total dominance on the Montenegrin football scene. They won the double crown, but it doesn't illustrate that dominance in the best way either. It is not even illustrated by the numbers, and they are unreal - a convincing first place in the Montenegrin youth league, with a goal difference of plus 101 (115:14) and a triumph in the Cup final of 9:0 over Grblje.

The dominance and talent of the generation is perhaps best described by the fact that the coach of the Budućnosti first team, Branko Brnović, took as many as nine footballers who were part of the Budućnosti youth championship team last season to training.

Behind the great success of the new hopes of the Podgorica team is the "signature" of their coach, Srđan Radonjić - the former goal scorer of Budućnost, a member of the Montenegrin national team, a footballer who, while playing for Partizan, was the best scorer in the First League of Serbia and Montenegro...

Radonjić, for whom this is his first independent coaching job, could not have started better.

- At the invitation of sports director Risto Lakić, I took over the youth team of Budućnosti. We are talking about the generation of football players born in 2000 who did not win trophies in previous seasons, and who have enviable talent and quality. In consultation with the director, we decided to add footballers born in 2001 to those footballers, to combine the two generations. With the participation of some cadet players, born in 2002 and 2003, led by Nikola Rogošić, we created a successful mix, which brought us two double crowns - in the cadet and youth competitions, which Budućnost has not done for a long time - says Radonjić, noting that nothing he could not have done it without his colleagues in the professional staff, Marko Janjević, Milivoj Grbović and Ljub Belojević.

Individuals were part of a successful collective, and Radonjić singles out the footballers who joined the first team:

- Petar Vukčević has already made his debut for the first team, with whom Obradović and Nikčević have trained before. There are also Bojović, Mrvaljević, Osmanović, even younger Vukotić and Striković, and the youngest Lazar Mijović, who was born in 2003. Coach Brnović recognized their quality, that's why they are now with the first team. What is very significant is that even seven of the nine players who are with the first team have the right to perform in the youth competition next season as well - says Radonjić.

- I would also mention the players who came out of the youth team, the best scorer Gluščević, the Japanese Catami, Petar Vukčević, Omer Šabotić. I hope that we will continue to help them to develop in the right way.
