Now it's official - Montenegrin representative Boris Kopitović is the new footballer of the Belarusian champion BATE Borisov.
The former stopper of Budućnosti and Mladost, who wore the Čukaricki jersey in the past two seasons, signed a contract with BATE for three and a half years.
The Belarusians paid 300 euros to Čukarička as compensation, and the team from Belgrade also gets 10 percent of the next transfer.
The transfer was mediated by manager Igor Gluščević.
Kopitović was one step away from Partizan, but he still ended up in the team that will play the first match of the 3rd round of qualification for the Europa League on Thursday against Sarajevo.
BATE was eliminated by Rosenborg in the 2nd round of Champions League qualification.
Kopitović played seven matches for the national team of Montenegro, scoring one goal.
