And David Silva said goodbye to the "red fury"

After the World Cup in Russia, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique said goodbye first, and now David Silva did the same - the experienced midfielder announced that he will no longer play for the Spanish national team.

Silva is 32 years old and was part of the selection that dominated from 2008 to 2012 and won the European Championship twice, as well as the World Cup in 2010.

The diminutive ace of Manchester City has played 125 games for the "red fury" since 2006, when he made his debut.

"I lived and dreamed with a team that I will remember forever. I am proud of everything I did in the national team and this was the most difficult decision," Silva wrote and added:

"I thought for weeks about what to do. The national team gave me everything both as a player and as a person. I'm leaving full of impressions and emotions, and I will always remember maestro Luis Aragones," said Silva.

Aragones was the best with Spain at the 2008 European Championship, and before that the national team had to wait 44 years for a big trophy.
