In returning to the path of success in the show in the capital "Boxing Spectacle - Podgorica 2019", former professional lightweight champion in the WBC version, Dejan Zlaticanin hopes for the help of the local audience.
His fight against the Russian Vishan Murzabekov, in 10 rounds for the rating, will be the last in the review, which will start tonight at 19 pm in SC "Morača".
After the failure in his last fight in America, Zlaticanin returned to his old work methods with trainer Slobodan Anđelić in Ljubljana.
"I am ready, but also aware that a fierce fight awaits me. The rival is dangerous, he boxes in a similar style to me and I hope I will be better. Especially in front of my audience after eight years. I have boxed in New York, Las Vegas... but the home ring is something else. I am very happy to be boxing in front of my audience again and I will do my best to give them a spectacular fight. In that hall, I am overwhelmed by special emotions," said Zlaticanin.
"I think I'm mentally prepared after the unexpected defeat by Ramires, where I touched the bottom, after I reached the top in my career. And now I have nothing to lose," said the 35-year-old from Zlatica at the official measurement.
In addition to the main fight, in "Morača" the audience will be able to enjoy three more fights under the spell of noble skill. In the first of six rounds, Andrej Pešić from Serbia will have the German Patrih Linkert as his rival.
The second fight is scheduled for six rounds, and the brother of the former WBC champion, Momčilo Zlaticanin, will fight with the Russian Vladislav Freze. Both weighed 100 grams below the welterweight limit.
The third fight will be a new challenge for the young Novljan Dilan Prašović, who has won in 11 fights so far. His German rival, Rad Rashid, has more experience, as he won 17 times with six defeats in the professional ring.
"I'm ready to the maximum and I'm sorry that my coach won't be there. The opponent, I can see that he's ready and it won't be easy. You can conclude from the very close that Rashid is a more experienced boxer, but I invite the audience to come and enjoy because I'm also ready to fight," said Prašović, who will box for eight rounds.
Unfortunately for fans of fights in the magic quadrangle, Nikola Sjekloća had to cancel his fight against Frenchman Kevin Tomas Kožan.
"Months of preparation are in vain, because I am in the process of treatment and it would be too big a risk. It is a very unpleasant purulent angina," explained the trophy-winning Budva native.
That's why the organizer made sure that Pešić and Linkert got a place in the ring.
The boxing spectacle in Podgorica will be broadcast live by TV Vijesti tonight from 19:XNUMX, and the ticket price in "Morača" is five euros.
