Adam Marušić is one of the leaders of Lazio, a sensation in Serie A and an unexpected candidate for the title in Italy.
After taking a break for three months due to injury, Marušić returned to the field, immediately entered the first team, and scored a goal in the last round against Genoa, which announced another victory for his team.
Marušić has been a member of the Montenegrin national team since 2015, and in his statement to "Sportski žurnal" he emphasized that he does not regret not waiting for the invitation of Serbia, the country where he was born.
"I never received an invitation to any Serbian national team. I was noticed by Montenegro, they did a lot for me, and I don't regret that I accepted to wear the jersey of the Falcons. We are one and the same people," said Marušić, who born in Belgrade 27 years ago.
He wore the jersey of the Montenegrin national team while playing in Belgian Kortrijk. He later played for Ostend, and since 2017 he has been in Lazio.
He played 33 matches for the national team.
