Portuguese authorities carried out extensive raids today as part of an investigation into tax evasion and money laundering in the country's football.
The prosecution announced that 76 buildings were searched.
The targets are the premises of football clubs, managers and lawyers.
More than 180 police officers, 101 tax inspectors and 16 judges participated.
No further details were provided due to Portugal's judicial secrecy law, which prohibits the publication of information about ongoing investigations.
Portuguese media, however, state that the police raided the house of Jorge Mendes, the most powerful football agent, who represents, among others, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The investigation relates to transfers and other business since 2015.
